About this Artist
Past Hollywood Bowl shows include “Kinky Boots”, “Everybody Rise! A Sondheim Celebration”, “Boublil and Schonberg’s Do You Hear the People Sing?” Jonathan designed the sold out run of “44 the Obama Musical” at the Kirk Douglas Theater. He designed “Fiddler on the Roof” at La Mirada Theater where he will also design “Sweeney Todd” in January.
Along with theater and concert designs, he has mixed operas at Detroit Opera, Kennedy Center, Rice University, UCLA and for The Industry, among others. Some highlights are “Stranger Love” at Disney Hall and the site-specific opera “Star Choir” presented at the Mount Wilson Observatory. He was Associate Designer and mixer of the tour “...Iphigenia” by Wayne Shorter and esperanza spalding.
In addition to designing, Jonathan teaches Sound Design and Mixing at UCLA School of Theater. He is a member of USA 829 and TSDCA and serves on the exam and membership committees of both.
