Bomba Estéreo

About this Artist

Bomba Estéreo is a Colombian band that blends Caribbean music with electronic music. Led by the singer, artist, and songwriter Li Saumet, originally from Santa Marta, who has shaped a unique style in Latin American music through her lyrics. The soul and essence of this band is the Caribbean—its colors, fruits, sounds, and culture that traverse all of Latin America.

Bomba Estéreo has been a force in the global alternative scene since their breakout success in 2010 with "Fuego." Their subsequent releases, including the Latin GRAMMY-nominated album "Elegancia Tropical" (2013) and the GRAMMY-nominated "Amanecer" (2015), positioned them at the forefront of the most influential fusion bands of the moment. Their fourth studio album, "Amanecer," featured songs that became anthems, such as "Soy Yo" and "To My Love," garnering hundreds of millions of streams worldwide. Bomba Estéreo has performed over 1.000 shows on the stages of major festivals like Coachella and Lollapalooza, as well as selling out venues in cities from New York to Tokyo. Their album "Deja" was recognized by The New York Times as the Best Album of 2021 and received multiple GRAMMY nominations. In recent years, Bomba Estéreo has collaborated on hit tracks with artists ranging from Manu Chao to Nelly Furtado. However, their collaboration with Bad Bunny had a seismic impact on their career: "Ojitos Lindos" (2022), which reached #2 on Spotify’s Global Chart for three consecutive weeks, becoming a worldwide hit. Today, the song has surpassed 3 billion streams on digital platforms.

Bad Bunny, Manu Chao, Arcade Fire, Sofi Tukker, and Rawayana, with whom they joined forces for the ASTROPICAL project, are just some of the artists who have accompanied the band's more than 20-year journey. To date, Bomba Estéreo has performed over 1.000 shows around the world.
